Verification & Explanation of Your Contribution SyncI inspected your repository commit history via the GitHub API ( Here is the exact technical breakdown of why your profile shows 1 contribution right now and how the backend reconciliation works. 1. 3. What to Do (And What to Avoid)
If your repository has private fork relationships or you ever work on private repositories in the future, also ensure that under your profile settings, "Include private contributions on my profile" is checked. For public repositories like this one, it is purely a matter of allowing the background job queue to reconcile the batch. |

Hi @codexmish Don't worry, your commits are perfectly safe, correctly linked to your account, and your streak is intact! Since you've already perfectly verified your git config and branch settings, you are just running into GitHub's server caching and timezone processing. Here is the simple breakdown of why you are seeing this: The Async Queue (Server Delay): GitHub does not update the contribution graph in real-time for every single push. It processes them in background batches. Right now, it registered your initial push (hence the "1 contribution"), but the rest are queued up. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours. UTC Timezone Grouping: GitHub calculates those green squares using strictly the UTC timezone, not your local computer's time. Depending on when you pushed, multiple commits are often grouped into a single day's square once the server catches up. Timeline Feed Grouping: The text below your graph will temporarily show incomplete data until the background server job finishes counting the rest of your batch. Your Next Steps: Also tagging @aakarshitpathak — since you are facing the same issue, please double-check that your terminal's git config user.email exactly matches your verified GitHub email. If your local terminal email is different, the graph will never update ! Hope this gives you peace of mind! Let us know when it updates. 🚀 |

The commits being visible in the repository doesn’t necessarily mean all of them will appear as profile contributions. GitHub applies a few specific requirements when counting commits. Since your repository is public and "main" is the default branch, I’d check the actual author email on each commit, not just the current "git config" value. The email used when the commit was created must be connected to your GitHub account. Changing "git config user.email" afterward doesn't change older commits. Also make sure the repository is a standalone repository rather than a fork, and that you have the required relationship to the repository (for example, being a collaborator). GitHub says commits count when the email is associated with your account and the commits are on the default branch or "gh-pages", with additional contribution criteria applying. If all of those conditions are already satisfied, give GitHub up to 24 hours to update the contribution graph. GitHub specifically notes that qualifying contributions may take that long to appear. Since you've already tried an empty commit and the problem is still occurring, I'd check one of the affected commits directly and verify its author email. If everything is correct and the graph is still wrong after 24 hours, contacting GitHub Support would be the next step. |

Commits missing from your contribution graph usually come down to one of a few specific eligibility rules. First, verify the email in your local Git config matches a verified email on your GitHub account—add |

Hello GitHub Community,
I have been pushing commits to my public repository:
https://githubfast.kdns.fr/codexmish/Backend-Blood-For-Life
But my GitHub profile contribution graph is not reflecting those commits properly.
Repository details:
Repository: codexmish/Backend-Blood-For-Life
Default branch: main
Visibility: Public
Commits are present in the repository history
I have already verified the following:
Git config user.name is set correctly
Git config user.email is set correctly
Email is verified on GitHub
Commits are pushed to the main branch
Repository is public
However, the profile contribution graph only shows 1 contribution for September 30, even though multiple commits exist on that day.
I also checked the commit history and the commits are visible in the repo, including:
first commit
git test
Clear JWT expiration values in .env.example
appError added
catchasync and SendResponse Added
I have also tried:
checking contribution settings
using incognito mode
clearing browser cache
pushing an empty commit to trigger contribution syncing
Still, the contribution graph is not updating as expected.
My question is: Why are my GitHub contributions not showing in my profile contribution graph even though the commits exist on the default branch and are associated with my account?
I would appreciate any guidance or explanation.
Thank you.
