Stale contributor on repository homepage despite clean history

I'm experiencing a persistent contributor attribution issue with my repository: [Tusher3584/visioret](https://githubfast.kdns.fr/Tusher3584/visioret).

The Claude account previously made commits to the repository. I subsequently removed its attribution from the commit history, and Claude no longer appears in the commit history or the Insights → Contributors graph.

The contributors API also returns only my account (Tusher3584).

However, Claude continues to appear as a contributor directly beneath my name on the repository's main page.

I've already tried:

• Waiting approximately two months.
• Making around 10 additional commits.
• Temporarily switching the default branch and switching it back.

None of these resolved the issue.

Could a GitHub maintainer explain why the homepage contributor display differs from the API and Insights graph, and whether the homepage statistics can be refreshed?

The evidence you collected shows that the homepage contributor display is out of sync with the current default-branch history, the contributors API, and Insights. That does not identify the internal cache or indexing source, and there is no documented user-facing refresh button for that sidebar. I would avoid rewriting history or renaming the default branch just to force a refresh. Record the repository URL, default branch, current HEAD, the API/Insights results, and the date checked, then ask GitHub Support or a staff member to refresh or investigate the repository’s contributor index privately. Since the discrepancy has persisted for about two months, include that timeline and mention that the current history should be preserved.
